PUSHKAR FAIR

Annually Maharaja Narendra Singh, takes his safari to the Pushkar Mela. The Pushkar Fair takes place every November on full moon. Pushkar, 300 km from Udaipur, is the holiest place for Hindu pilgrims and at the time of the world famous camel and horse fair. Up to a quarter of million people come from all over India with their animals to take part in this colorful cultural and religious festival.

Pushkar Fair in the Month of November

Start of the safari after 1 or 2 nights in PCI. During this days our jeep will take you for  sightseeing in Udaipur and for a dinner in the Lake Palace, Royal Boat or Trident where ever desired by you and where ever available.

1. Day  Udaipur - Banari  

Drive through the fantastic landscape of Rajasthan by jeep or car.

2. Day Banari – Joarmura

After breakfast we ride on soft sandy trails through the tribal countryside. During the night the royal camp is set up on the banks of a lake. Fort of Sadar garh is 12 km situated from here. If time permits you can meet the noble and go for sightseeing in his fort.

3. Day Joarmura – Karara

Ride through the countryside and agricultural fields. In the evening the royal tents will be waiting for you near by another lake. You can meet the noble of Karara and see his fort.

In Karara is also some shopping possible.

4. Day Karara – Lalpura

The ways will lead you partly through countryside and through a forest. Tonight you will camp near by the forest.

5. Day Lalpura – Jawaja

After a pleasant sleep in the forest your horse will take you to tribal villages. You meet tribal people and ride through places where no tourists ever have been.

6. Day Jawaja – Kaharwa

Today we ride to Kaharwa. The nobles here are famous hunters. Meet the nobles to see their collection of trophees and have a drink with them. 

7. Day Kaharwa – Pushkar

One more day on horseback and you will reach our peaceful camp in Pushkar. 

5  minutes walk from the mela.

After arriving Pushkar you can stay another 3 days in the camp and have a ride through the Mela on horse or camel.

Meeting the nobles on the way and evening entertainment, where ever it is available is offered by us on complementary basis.

The guests will stay in our comfortable royal tents with cot, bedrolls, chair, table and candlelight. The camp has also a shower (hot/cold water) and a toilet.

If you wish to stay in a hotel or castles on this trail we will arrange the room reservation if available. The extra charge of the room will have to be payed directly in the hotel and also the full charge of the safari-night.

On this trail it is possible that one can leave or join another group as it is approachable by highway Udaipur-Ajmer-Jaipur if the highway is nearby.

RETURN SAFARI after 3 days/2 nights in Pushkar.

People can also join from Pushkar to Udaipur. The return Safari is discounted by

25 % to 40 % depending on the number of people.
